FEATURED POST: OONI, EMIR SUE FOR PEACE IN ILE - IFE


As part of efforts to put an end to inter-tribal crises and ensure peaceful coexistence, the Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi paid a visit to the palace of Ooni of Ife,  Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II to discuss the recent crisis in Ile-Ife.

 Addressing people at Oduduwa House in Ile-Ife, Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido  representing Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar, traced the history of  cordial relationship between Ile-Ife and Northern Nigeria and described Ife people as peaceful hosts. He thanked Ooni for his fatherly role in handling the crisis.

Responding,  Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye  Enitan Ogunwusi showed his appreciation for Emir's visit and described it as God ordained historical visit. He assured that as father of all, no inter-tribal crisis will happen in his domain again.

Also Ooni advocated for youth emancipation and empowerment as he said it is the only way to ensure peaceful cohabitation and bright future

The two monarchs later visited scene of the crisis in Saabo Ile-Ife and promised speedy reconstruction of destroyed properties.
