5 THINGS TO DO TO STOP EATING A LOT

Only if we could all eat as much as we wanted and never add a single fat. For people like me, the reverse is the case as the fats keep adding up after every single meal. Different body system, different anatomy, different results. What do you do when you really want to stop eating a lot but just can't? Especially if you're for the fitfam life but it all doesn't add up because you can't just resist eating so much and snacking on everything in sight. These five tips below will help you resist that urge or better still, curb the urge.

1. DRINK MORE WATER

You'll see this on every blog and website when talking about eating less. This is because it absolutely works. Drink one or two cups of water before a meal and one or two cups after a meal. The cups taken before the meal would make you feel full and you won't be able to eat as much. Drink as much water as you want and soon, your system would get used to it so that even when you forget to drink as much water, you cannot eat as much as before.

2. MORE PROTEIN, LESS CARBS

I learn't this after watching a video from Sisiyemmie, talking about how she lost so much fat. This really and truly works. Instead of bombarding your plate with so much food, eat half or quarter of what you would eat on a normal day but reward yourself with more protein such as bigger meat, fish, chicken, egg etc. You could also double the amount of protein in one little meal. This would distract your attention from eating so much. You would focus on tearing and breaking down the chicken. You could have two big meat in your food and afterwards, drink water.

3. SET A TIMETABLE

This one works well enough. Why not draft out a timetable of what you would eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday, for an entire week. Be intentional and conscious about what you put up for each day. Remember, more protein but lesser carbs. Also, more vegetables and fruits if you can easily afford them

4. AVOID TEMPTATION

What better way of eating less of fatty things and junks than by avoiding them? Do yourself the favor of staying away from places where they are sold or where they are kept. This would minimize your chances of getting your hands on them not to talk of munching on them. Empty your fridge of unnecessary junks and stock them up with more healthy things.

5. REWARD YOURSELF

Never forget to reward yourself for a job well done. And yes, you can reward yourself with a cheat meal. If you would be drafting a timetable, you could include a cheat meal every Saturday or Sunday. Make sure its once a week. So, you're not totally starving off those carbs and junks. But if you don't meet up with your goal for the week, no cheat meal. Like I mentioned earlier, make it an intentional and conscious effort.
